Brian is a barrister practising in the family law arena, mainly in relationship property, trust, estate and COCA litigation.
He is a former partner at McVeagh Fleming, has lectured in family property law at Auckland University (2002-2004) and is a trained mediator (LEADR New Zealand and CEDR United Kingdom). Brian is a past contributor to Brookers and Family Property. He is a regular contributor to continuing professional development in the legal profession through presenting at seminars and conferences and is a long-standing membership of the ADLS CPD Committee.
Brian regularly appears in the Family Court and the High Court. He has represented clients in the Court of Appeal. He often participates in mediations. For many years he has been appointed by the Family Court to act for children in parenting hearings.
